Default Gaming Mouse

I'm looking for a suitable gaming mouse for my MacBook Pro. The only problem is there are very few compatible mice let alone gaming mice for Mac. Can anyone recommend a good mouse? I'm leaning towards the Razer Pro Click 1.6 at the moment. I'd really prefer a Logitech G5 but the only way that'd work would be with USBOverdrive which I really don't want to have to use. Thanks for the advice.

There's some good looking mice at logitech that are Mac compatible and USB compatible. Here's one that didn't look too bad

Lame joke coming: Mac and gaming? Do those even mix?

I'm a noob when it comes to Macs. Mac has USB ports I reckon. And PS/2 too? So what's the problem?

To your first question...yes. And to your second...You can ofc plug any mouse into a mac, but if you want to use let's say... the extra buttons... you need for the mouse to be compatible. Any mouse'll work as a mouse but not with the extra functions for gaming I enjoy on a PC.

I'd say go with the Razer Pro since it has official Mac support and provides drivers so that you can use its extra buttons. The Logitech MX Revolution has Mac support as well, you could give that a look.
